B2C Project

A customer approached Munro Designs social media page to enquire about the creation of a bespoke piece.

From the initial contact message through to the packing and posting of the finished piece, I was in contact with the client throughout. Conversing to finalise the initial brief as well as sending photo updates of the creation process to make sure the customer was 100% happy. The customer was happy for me to use my creative flair to determine the end result, which gave this piece multiple design routes as I was able to pick which medium to produce it in, what size to do it in and the final atmosphere.

I chose to adopt the initial design style of a graphic novel artist; using pen and ink. I found this style approachable by all, not just those fond of this genre of storytelling, and still compatible with general home decor.

Create a painting of a fight scene between graphic novel characters Thor and Loki using Kate Spade and Mulberry handbags as their weapons of choice.

"We have two pieces of Heather's amazing work hanging up at home. [One is] a bespoke painting delivered after a very thin brief, produced a brilliant scene of Thor and Loki fighting each other with my wife's favourite handbags. Apart from the obvious quality of the work I've been impressed by how interactive and helpful Heather has been, both in the development process and in terms of how to show the image off. Having a tiny bit of 'creative input' really gave a sense of ownership that means it's more than just another painting on the wall.

Highly recommend!"
